Who this is about
This policy explains how Clockwork Business Consulting Ltd. (“Clockwork”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website. We are a business based in British Columbia, Canada, and we handle personal information in line with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
Only what you type into the contact form, which is: your name, your business name, your email address, and your message. You may also choose to give us a phone number, the type of business you run, which services you are interested in, and the bookkeeping software you currently use.
This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies. We do not build a profile of you, and we cannot see who visits the site.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, to discuss whether we are a good fit, and — if you become a client — to provide the services you ask us for. That is the only reason. We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
Nobody, beyond the people at Clockwork who need to read it and the services that carry the message to us. When you press send, your message is delivered by an email delivery provider and then sits in our email inbox with our email provider, in the same way an ordinary email to us would.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own purposes. We would only disclose it if the law required us to.
How long we keep it
Your message stays in our email as part of our ordinary correspondence. If you become a client, we keep what we need to do the work and to meet our record-keeping obligations. If you do not, you can ask us to delete your enquiry and we will.
Keeping it safe
Your submission is sent over an encrypted connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive financial details, account numbers or identification documents through the contact form — once we are talking, we will agree a secure way to exchange anything like that.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@clockworkbusinessconsulting.ca and we will respond. There is no charge for a straightforward request.
Questions or concerns
Please contact us first — most things are sorted out quickly. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you may raise it with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
